About Me

Hey there! I’m Jason Mitchell Ward, a software engineer who loves solving complex problems and building innovative software. I’ve spent years working with C++, Python, and Java, crafting everything from intuitive user interfaces to high-performance backend systems.

Right now, I’m developing software for SAIC, where I get to design modern C++ applications and tackle challenges in UI/UX and system architecture. Before that, I worked on sonar applications, improving audio systems and modernizing legacy codebases. I’ve also dabbled in machine learning, data processing, and cloud technologies—earning my AWS Cloud Practitioner certification along the way.

Beyond coding, I love mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge, and collaborating on exciting projects. Lately, I’ve been diving into Django and building this website, which has been a fun challenge and a great way to expand my skills in web development. And when I’m not writing software, you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new baking recipes. There’s something about the precision of baking—just like coding—that I find really satisfying (plus, who doesn’t love fresh-baked bread or cookies?).

Feel free to check out my work on GitHub or reach out—I’d love to connect!
